Hormones and women’s health

Women’s Hormone Health

Support for patients who want to understand cycle changes, hormone-related symptoms and the bigger patterns affecting energy, mood, skin, sleep and digestion.

Overview

A whole-person way to understand your symptoms.

Hormone-related concerns rarely happen in isolation. A changing cycle can show up alongside fatigue, anxiety, headaches, acne, hair changes, digestive symptoms, cravings, sleep disruption or a sense that your body no longer feels predictable.

Dr. Zorn’s approach is to listen for patterns, review what has already been tested and create a plan that respects your stage of life, safety needs and capacity for change.

This may be a fit if

You are looking for clarity, not a one-size-fits-all plan.

Every patient’s story is different. These are common reasons people book this type of appointment.

  • Your period has become heavier, lighter, closer together, farther apart or unpredictable.
  • PMS or PMDD symptoms affect your mood, focus, relationships or confidence.
  • You are navigating PCOS, acne, hair changes, fertility questions or preconception planning.
  • You suspect thyroid, stress, digestion or nutrient status may be affecting hormone symptoms.
  • You want your questions answered clearly and respectfully.

Assessment

What Dr. Zorn may consider.

The assessment is tailored to your symptoms, goals and safety needs. Bring current medications, supplements and recent labs.

Consideration 1

Cycle timing, ovulation signs, bleeding patterns, cramps and PMS/PMDD timing.

Consideration 2

Sleep, stress physiology, blood sugar patterns, digestion, movement and recovery.

Consideration 3

Relevant labs such as ferritin, B12, vitamin D, thyroid, glucose/insulin and reproductive hormones when indicated.

Consideration 4

Medication, contraception, supplements, pregnancy goals and breastfeeding status.

Care plan

What support may include.

Your plan is individualized and adjusted over time. Recommendations depend on what is clinically appropriate and what feels possible for you.

  • Cycle tracking and education so symptoms feel less random.
  • Nutrition strategies for energy, blood sugar, digestion and hormone metabolism.
  • Targeted supplements or botanical medicine when appropriate and safe.
  • Acupuncture when it fits your goals and clinical picture.
  • Collaboration with your family doctor, gynecologist, midwife, therapist or other providers when needed.

Common questions

Before you book.

Is hormone testing always needed?

No. Testing is considered when it is likely to change the plan.

Can I keep taking my current medication or birth control?

Yes. Do not stop prescribed medication unless directed by the prescribing clinician. Bring a full list so safety and interactions can be reviewed.

Can I book if my labs look normal?

Yes. The visit can still focus on symptom patterns, lifestyle factors, nutrient status and next-step conversations.
