Acupuncture care

Acupuncture

A calm, in-clinic treatment option that may be used as part of a broader plan for pain, headaches, stress, sleep, cycle concerns or relaxation.

Overview

A whole-person way to understand your symptoms.

Acupuncture is one of the therapies Dr. Zorn may use when it fits a patient’s goals and health picture. Some patients choose acupuncture as a standalone appointment; others include it as part of a naturopathic plan.

Appointments are designed to feel calm and respectful. Dr. Zorn explains what to expect, checks comfort throughout the visit and adjusts the approach based on your response.

This may be a fit if

You are looking for clarity, not a one-size-fits-all plan.

Every patient’s story is different. These are common reasons people book this type of appointment.

  • You are curious about acupuncture for headaches, pain, neck tension or stress.
  • You want a treatment that supports relaxation and nervous system downshifting.
  • You have hormone or cycle-related symptoms and want to discuss whether acupuncture fits your plan.
  • You are already receiving naturopathic care and want hands-on support between follow-ups.
  • You prefer a gentle approach and clear explanation before treatment.

Assessment

What Dr. Zorn may consider.

The assessment is tailored to your symptoms, goals and safety needs. Bring current medications, supplements and recent labs.

Consideration 1

Your main goals, medical history, medications, pregnancy status and comfort with needles.

Consideration 2

Pain patterns, stress levels, sleep, cycle timing and overall health context.

Consideration 3

Precautions such as bleeding disorders, anticoagulants or immune concerns.

Consideration 4

Whether acupuncture is appropriate alone or should be part of broader assessment.

Care plan

What support may include.

Your plan is individualized and adjusted over time. Recommendations depend on what is clinically appropriate and what feels possible for you.

  • Individualized point selection based on your concerns and comfort.
  • Breathing, relaxation and grounding support during the appointment.
  • Lifestyle or home-care suggestions when useful.
  • Integration with nutrition, supplementation or lab review when acupuncture is part of a plan.
  • Referral or collaboration when symptoms require another form of care.
